Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens in the U.S. According to research from the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA), 56% of teens ages 16 to 20 years old killed in motor vehicle traffic accidents were not buckled up. In response, seven Lorain County high schools have campaigned to change habits and save lives.
